On the occasion of the first anniversary of its inauguration, the Long Museum (West Bund Branch) will host the grand opening of Xu Zhen Solo Exhibition on March 28, 2015. Xu Zhen is an iconic, leading figure within the realm of contemporary Chinese art, and moreover he is the most sought-after international contemporary artist currently.
The most rare and sought-after porcelain in the world, the ChenghuaChicken Cup of the Ming dynastywill appear as a centerpiece at LONG MUSEUM’s special exhibit The World of Zhu Jianshen: The Life of a Chinese Emperor and His Era. The opening ceremony will be held on December 18 in West Bund of Long Museum.
The exhibition is to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China and to show the history of PRC’s theme-orientated art creation as well as to appreciate these artworks.
From November 13, 2014 to January 12, 2015, the Mexican Government and The West BundLong Museum will present in collaboration with the Arocena Museum, Tane Foundation, and the Hangzhou Museum, the exhibition "Mexico’s Silver: History and Future" featuring more than 150 art pieces, which represents the best of the Mexican culture and Mexican traditions depicted through a precious metal.
