The co-founder, director of the Long Museum, Mrs Wang Wei has started the collecting of works in this period since 1990s. By this year the museum collection represents art in the twentieth-century through more than 910 pieces（sets）by artists from all of the world. This exhibition focuses on a selection of paintings in twentieth century from the permanent collection. The earliest works on view are oil paintings by Chinese artist LI Tiefu （1869-1952）and Japanese artist Zenzaburo KOJIMA（1893-1962). The exhibition also features oil paintings by two Chinese-French artists ZHAO Wuji (Zao Wou-ki)(1920-2013), ZHU Dequn ( Chu Teh-chun)(1920 -2014 ) and the Japanese artist Kazuo SHIRAGA （1924-2008).
