The "2nd China International Installation Art Forum" is an academic forum on installation art, which aims to promote the diversified development of contemporary art forms, explore potential installation art resources, improve the pattern of contemporary Chinese art and to clarify our views on contemporary art.
The forum is an academic activity sponsored by China Association for International Cultural Exchange, National Contemporary Art Research Center, and Fine Arts Research Institute of China Academy of Art. It invites Chinese and foreign experts and scholars in the field of contemporary art and visual science, as well as the field of cultural industry. It is a non-profit academic activity focusing on academic exchanges.
The successful holding of the "2013 China International Contemporary Installation Art Academic Forum" in Beijing is a great contribution to the development history of international contemporary installation art. The forum discussed the basic characteristics of contemporary installation art, the value tendency of contemporary installation art, the development experience and history of installation art in Chinese art history, the future trends, and how to clarify the artistic grammar of installation art.
The participating experts put forward their own opinions based on their own research and experience. This forum will launch more discussions and reflections on installation art, and summarize the academic results of the previous event. The forum will present objective, rational and positive outlook of contemporary installations. In the future, we hope to hold more interdisciplinary academic exchanges and discussions on installation art.
