Organizer: Tomato Art School
Venue: Gallery 1&2&3, LONG MUSEUM PUDONG
Tomato Art School and the Long Museum organize the 2014 Tomato Art School’s 2nd National Open Art Exhibition: Art in the Rabbit Hole, exhibiting between August 2nd and 17th. It’s an art exhibition for children in a large scale.
We gather 606 pieces of graphic art and sculpture from all over China to the Long Museum. Most of people probably have not seen children’s artworks exhibit in professional venues, so “Art in the Rabbit Hole” will give you a brand new vision and experience.
Children are not hiding their messages in their artworks, just like dreams, yet we do not know their languages. Children have their nature talent in arts when they are very little. Therefore we expect to present these children’s works with a professional angle. In order to have a conversation with these works, we create six fun and interactive sections, which build a bridge between the works and the audiences. When you fall down the rabbit hole, the environment and atmosphere would lead your emotion to happiness, to magic, and to the images full of imagination.
When we adults view children’s works with our own ego and realistic motion, it is hard to see the beauty in their eyes. We expect you to feel every line, every pattern, and all the true presentation about beauty; and we want you to experience their world with curiosity, and understand their languages in arts with a different point of view.
