Artist: Leng Jun
"Leng Jun Solo Exhibition" showcases the works of artist Leng Jun who devoted to porcelain painting as well as some oil paintings and traditional Chinese paintings in the past eight years.
Leng Jun is a leading figure in the ultra-realistic school of oil painting. In recent years, he has been experimenting with various paintings such as oil painting, printmaking, traditional Chinese painting, porcelain painting, etc., trying to explore an artistic path that integrates ancient and modern Chinese and foreign paintings. Many people think that his works have reached the limit and cannot be surpassed, but each time he brings more surprises.
How to make flexible changes in different painting materials and to break through the material properties of different painting pigments? Leng Jun’s work provides us with a good interpretation. The works exhibited this time mainly depict shrimp, tiger, bamboo and characters. He uses blue, white, red, pastel and new colors to cover his painting.
It is worth mentioning that Leng Jun’s pastel and new color series of works, which give full play to the expressive advantages of oil paintings, combined with the new color decoration technology, show the heavy feelings and expressive power of oil paintings one by one on the porcelain.
The lions are laid-back, anthropomorphic and sensational, without finishing touches, majestic and natural. Leng Jun’s shrimps and crabs are reminiscnt of the old master Baishi. Leng Jun’s bamboo not only absorbs the essence of traditional painting, but also integrates his own painting language and temperament.
