The texture is fine and glossy. The glaze is gentle and lustrous. Outside painted with two separate scenes of cockerel and hen with five chicks in a landscape in underglaze blue outlines and overglaze iron red, yellow, and green enamels. Because of those vivid scenes and the elegant composition, there are many imitations in later generations.
