Lu Yanshao (1909-1993), also called Di, and his zi (designated name) is Wanruo, was born in NanXiang, Shanghai. Lu focused on poem and calligraphy, and was excellent in painting landscape, plum blossoms, bamboo-and-stone. He could make subtle variations through using the water and brush technique skillfully. His landscape is subtle, delicate, tightly structured, and entirely imaginary. He is prominent in landscape painting field.
