"This is a lecture unrelated to academics. It simply shows a section of a craftsman’s career. I plan to talk about two things. One is my 2012 project, "Studio Mobile," in which my team and I drove a truck and travelled around China for a year. During this time, we set up temporary "old-school photo studios" in 35 cities, taking wedding photos, family portraits, and other interesting but practical photos. A total of 1,600 strangers appeared in front of my lens, and of course, most of them became my friends. In this lecture, I will share the joys and pains of this project, recounting my experiences throughout.
The second part of my lecture will center around another project that I started two years ago on a whim: a puppet show. Although this project has not yet been completed, I believe that its beginnings and process are still worth sharing. I have secretly brought along some materials along to share."
